Howdy from Texas & Happy Spring. We trust you all had a wonderful Easter. We sure did. We were up at 3:30 and singing at 6:00 AM. I wasn´t sure 6:00 came 2 times a day, but it does and one comes early. LOL
![]() ![]() ![]() Brand New Touch hosted it and around 150 people showed with blankets. Some motorcycle riders came and left their lights blinking in the pre-dawn and it was beautiful. The natural rock formation and cave was perfect for reminding us of Golgotha and the empty tomb. The local radio aired it and we sang till the sun arose. We had a little calico cat attend service too! Our Bose sound system, which you all helped pray in for us, filled that mountain and valley and still wasn´t turned up but half way. The whole experience was just awesome.
![]() ![]() ![]() I got to finally go camping for my birthday. Rhonda, sis #4 likes to celebrate her birthday with camping too, so we combined and camped at Tyler State park. Since we do not have an RV anymore, Rhonda and family provided us a tent and set it up for us. We stayed 2 nights, one of which stormed and rained with us in the tent. Some prayers were flying fast as the wind was blowing...LOL.
Angie woke when the storm hit and was getting our suitcases inside the tent and I woke up to help her. She says (don´t believe everything she says about me) before I got good and awake, I pitched the fan out the door. I still think she is just telling tall tales!
But it was so good to rest and relax and spend time with family. Mom, Angie and Rhonda are excellent cooks, so we ate like kings. I do dishes pretty good and can stir the campfire taters without burning them most of the time, so I was allowed near the cooking area. Bobby, Ryan and Ranessa kept the fire going and worked like pioneers. Rhonda´s husband, Bobby, is about to decide he likes camping out after all. If it didn´t involve Southern Gospel music, he wasn´t interested in it at first. There were some banjo pickers who serenaded us one night. The raccoons kept us company too.
It was good to see distant family at our cousin´s wedding. Gayla Guthrie, Judy sis #2, Uncle Jerry, who has come back to the Lord lately, me and Mom are pictured here.
Thanks again for your patience.
