God Interrupts Singing!
Since last newsletter, 2 precious souls came to the altar while we were singing.
We loved it!

We trust you all had a great July 4th. We are so thankful to be Americans and love to celebrate our freedom.

Without Brent to pop firecrackers this year, we had a quiet cook-out with two cousins, Evelyn and Beverly along with Aunt Nell and Uncle Bill. The evening was nice and still. Our neighbors obliged us with a fire works display that lasted far longer than we did!

We've sang at several interesting places lately. We sang at a campmeeting in Oklahoma, where the Godly interruption happened with people praying while we sang. Bro. Bennett said he personally needed the song Angie does so good singing, “Your still God”. I'm thankful God knows what each person needs. That was on a Friday night.

On Saturday evening, we were at Clinton Country Jamboree. We were ask to sing harmony with Elwinna, the owner of the Opry. We had a blast and it sounded pretty good for a 5 min practice!

Sunday AM we sang for Sis. Kirkham and the sweet people there. I had lots of help loading and it being our first time there, they bought all our CD's. WOW. They loved us and took us out to eat. Sunday PM we were at Bro. Steigers in OKC. They said we were better than ever, but I think they just love us! LOL

When we sang for Bro. Crane, we had a sweet singing. William Bailey and his wife came and brought us a HP printer. I had mentioned I needed a commercial style copier and he brought this printer to see if I could use it. It was so sweet of them! Angie took the printer to her office, where she can put it to good use and I'm still praying for a copier.

We were singing for Bro. Randy Sheridan at Vicotory A/G and his wife got really sick. We stopped and prayed and they took her to the emergency room, where she spent 2 nights in the hospital. In the mean time, they wanted us to continue to sing, which we did. It was kinda distracting, because we were worried about Sis. Cindy, but God gave grace and we sang right on! Talk about being instant in season and out! !

Brent surprised us last week and brought over a load of wood. I told him I would buy all he could find, for this winter. Also we paid him to fix Mom's faucet, which was leaking. It's amazing the honey-do's that pile up without a man around! LOL. I try to fix everything, but men think different, and can figure out some things much better and faster. (Of course the same thing goes for a woman!) He gave us his new address. You are welcome to write him at:

He called me yesterday and he's been real sick. I said “Bless your heart” and he said “I think I threw that up too!” I got tickled at him. I think he's feeling a little better today. His girl friend, Angela Long, is on my bebo.com page with pictures of the two of them, if you want to visit that site. People are so sweet and kind to us old maids! We love to travel and meet new people. We are still believing for a gas RV so we can travel further distances and stay longer. Also, it would be nice for Mom to go with us. She loves to travel as well. We are looking forward to this weekend with Rhonda and Hendrix Trio.

The 4 States GMA is having their convention and it's always loads of fun. There is usually 400-500 in attendance. Also, it's time for the campmeeting in NM where it's nice and cool. We feed around 100 campers, two meals daily. Can't wait!

Our cousin, Shirley, gave Clinton Country Jamboree our CD and that's how we came to be part of the country show. We sang Gospel and sang harmony with Elwinna too!

We sang at Grapevine Opry with the house band. They did great on our songs. They've updated it. Our friends, Praise Inc, hosted the Grapevine Opry show. Good to see other friends like the Watson family too.

The neighbor's horses got loose and I had weed eating and fertilizing going on at the same time!

Angie playing back stage at the Clinton Country Jamboree. She tried being a blonde for 5 min, but she says she is too smart! I think she's being mean, but I'm not sure. Besides all that, I'm STRAWBERRY BLONDE. There's a world of IQ difference! Just ask me. They had a large crowd that night, close to 500 they said. The building was decorated so beautifully, you felt like you were in a wonderland. Go to Okla, and see it.

Our electricity went out so Mom, Angie and I had a picnic outside. Thank goodness it was before the 100 plus Texas heat set in.

We love you. Thanks for your prayers.
