Happy Warm
Winter ... LOL
It finally got a little frost on the ground last night. We've had such warm
weather, it's hard to get in the Christmas mood. We've played Christmas CD's
and decorated with the A/C on most of the time! Crazy.
I told you we sold our leather furniture (it
found a good home with Art and Sandra Mintz) to buy a sound system. (Which
we love!) So, we needed our old furniture out of Brent's storage barn. It's
a little too heavy for 2 old maids, so we kept praying for a MAN to help us.
Brent (former lead singer) happened to be in his shop next door (we don't
see much of him) so I went over and ask if we could buy him a tank of gas in
exchange for help lifting the couch and love seat. He graciously agreed to
help me and we now have more than 3 places to sit. So, come see us! He also
fixed my Christmas lights around the roof, unloaded Mom's chicken feed and
some other things. A big thanks to you Brent, for your help. Our brother in
law, Bobby, did some stuff for us as well. It's nice to have a man around to
help.
Our music room needs a roof repair job. It's
leaking. Our brother, Ken, fixed Mom's 4 wheeler while he was home for
Thanksgiving. She rides that thing around all over the place out here in the
country. We call her hot rod granny. She's doing good since her heart
surgery last year.
We had a special week end in Eunice, NM on Angie's birthday. The church
Daddy used to pastor is doing great with the new young pastor, Bro.
Birdsong. We spent 3 nights with my life long bestest (married) friend, Ludy
Robinson. They treated us so good we want to go back soon! Ludy
(congratulations on your Master's degree!) treated us to several meals and a
trip to Hobbs to shop for Angie's gift. She left husband and sons to spend
the day with us and we laughed and had a blast shopping. It was good soul
medicine. Her sister, Joann gave Angie money for her birthday and a precious
praying figurine set. Ludy filled our tank with gas and our cousin, Pam
brought Angie some gifts. They fed us and we attended the Fall Festival they
hosted for the whole town. It's a small church, but it's a happening place.
The best part of the Eunice trip for me, was my healing of a severe staph
infection. I had suffered with it for 2 weeks and had to bandage my arms and
legs twice daily. I had to change sheets every day, wash everything I
touched, and spent a small fortune on bandages and herbs. Granny had her
prayer team anoint a cloth and I carried it with me at all times. I was
getting better, but still struggling. After we sang at Eunice, we had
special prayer and they prayed for me. I knew I was healed! 2 days later, I
didn't even put on any bandages. My new skin grew so fast I could almost
watch it! It was a total miracle! I've heard of several dying from the same
problem, so I thank God every day.
Angie & I are trying to fast and pray for God's perfect will in 2008. We
want to be led by the Lord daily and want to make a difference in people's
lives. There's no time to waste. We are praying about which churches to call
for bookings, and are praying they will call us, as confirmation. If you
know of a church for us to call for 2008, email Angie at
